i have managed to see few monsters and ducati 1098 on roads here in britain and the sound of ducati 1098 is not that of regular hondas and yamahas. its totally different.

I agree it is very different. It has a much deeper tone than bikes from the japanese factories

At our regular meet in London someone turned up on one of these bad boys a Ducati Desmosedici RR - I heard it coming from a few streets away and it caused quite a stir...:)

Ducati Desmosedici RR is a dream bike of many souls but i guess exclusivity comes at a price ;D

Just to give a rough idea of Ducati pricing (in pounds) in India after attracting 60% import tax

Ducati 848- £ 24,978
Ducati 1098- £ 29,736
Ducati 1098R- £ 57,094
Hypermotard- £ 19,031
Monster S2R 1100- £ 24,978

Its obvious, that Ducati is only targetting niche customers here and plan to sell only 50 bikes per year.
